To Join the “Into The Woods” Event, either get in touch with us on 03301 270317 or info@melior-vita.com for more information on what to expect, or, below, you can book and pay for your spot.
Where is the event located?
We will be in touch with all participants that have booked on, letting you know the location, as it may vary each event. Surry is the general area we operate in. Camping is available for everyone, but in particular for those who come from afar.

What Activities Do We Cover?
Pioneering
Pioneering involves using ropes and knots to build structures, such as bridges, towers, or shelters, often in challenging outdoor environments. It combines practical skills, creativity, and problem-solving to create reliable solutions using limited resources
Fire Lighting
Fire lighting is the skill of starting and maintaining a fire using various methods, such as matches, flint, or friction, often in outdoor or survival situations. It requires knowledge of different materials, techniques, and conditions to create a controlled, sustainable flame for warmth, cooking, or signaling.
Shelter Building
Shelter building involves constructing a protective structure using available materials, such as branches, leaves, or tarps, to provide safety and comfort in outdoor or emergency situations. It requires understanding of the environment, weather conditions, and resources to create an effective refuge from the elements.
Team Games
Outdoor team games are activities played outside that promote teamwork, communication, and physical engagement, such as capture the flag or relay races. They are designed to foster collaboration, build trust, and encourage friendly competition in a natural setting.
Wood Processing
Wood processing involves cutting, splitting, and shaping wood for various purposes, such as building structures, creating tools, or making a fire. It requires the use of specific tools, techniques, and safety practices to efficiently prepare wood for its intended use.
Resilience Building
Resilience building involves developing the mental, emotional, and physical capacity to adapt to and recover from adversity, stress, or challenges. It focuses on strengthening coping strategies, fostering a positive mindset, and enhancing overall well-being to navigate difficult situations with greater strength and flexibility.
Target Shooting / Airsoft
Target shooting with airsoft guns involves aiming and firing at designated targets using airsoft replicas, which shoot non-lethal plastic pellets. It combines focus, hand-eye coordination, and precision to improve shooting skills in a controlled and safe environment.
Ziplines
Building ziplines involves designing and constructing a suspended cable system that allows individuals to travel from one point to another, often across a valley or between trees, using a harness and pulley. It requires careful planning, secure anchoring, and knowledge of safety protocols to ensure a thrilling yet safe adventure experience.
Bonding
Bonding with people involves forming meaningful connections through shared experiences, open communication, and mutual trust. It fosters a sense of closeness, understanding, and emotional support, strengthening relationships over time.
Mystery Activities
This may or may not include activities such as Archery, Trauma First Aid, Camouflage, Sword Play or other activities you will soon find out about.
General Survival Skills
General survival skills encompass essential techniques and knowledge for navigating and thriving in challenging or unfamiliar environments. This includes skills such as building shelters, finding and purifying water, creating fire, foraging for food, and navigating using natural cues, all aimed at ensuring safety and self-sufficiency in emergency situations.
Self-Discovery
Self-discovery in nature involves exploring one’s inner self through immersion in the natural world, often leading to personal insights and growth. The solitude and beauty of natural settings provide a reflective space to connect with one’s thoughts, emotions, and values, fostering a deeper understanding of oneself.

How do I book?

Who is this for?

Where is the event located?
We will be in touch with all participants that have booked to confirm the location as it may vary for each event. We generally operate in and around Sussex.
When is the next event?
We meet on the last Saturday of the month at 9 for 9.30am and finish at 5.30pm. For those who would like to camp over we finish at 12 noon on the Sunday.
Are children allowed?
We accept accompanied children from the age of 12, and unaccompanied from 16
What do I need to bring?
Packed Lunch, Water, Snacks, Fruit, Mug, Camping Chair, Sunscreen, Hiking Boots/Wellies, Wet Weather Clothing, Warm Hat and Gloves, Spare Clothing (long legs/sleeves)- no jeans.
If you are camping over, in addition:
Torch, Plate, Bowl, Knife, Fork, Spoon, Evening meal eg Meal Replacement E??, Special Dietary Food, Personal First Aid Kit, Washing Kit, Insect Repellant, Sleeping Bag, Sleeping Mat, Tent or Bivvy Bag or Hammock. (Let us know in advance if you would like to hire a tent.)
We do not allow alcohol for health and safety reasons.
What if it’s bad weather?
We operate all year round in rain, wind or snow! Just wear appropriate clothing!
